Theatre begins with curiosity and Curious Parade is a gathering of people who love making theatre.

Founded by theatre director Simon H. West, whose career spans more than thirty years, the company exists to create imaginative, engaging live performance for families and adults alike.

We're not interested in being tied to a single style or formula. One project might be a musical, the next a play, a family adventure, an intimate studio piece or something that doesn't fit neatly into any category at all. If an idea excites us and we think it will delight an audience, it's worth exploring.

Theatre can happen anywhere. In a theatre, a village hall, outdoors, or even in someone's front room. Wherever we perform, our aim is always the same: to create shared experiences that are crafted with care and leave audiences entertained, surprised and wanting to come back for more.

Peter Brook famously wrote that if one person walks across an empty space while someone else is watching, that's enough for an act of theatre to begin.

We'd like to think that if two people walk across together... well, that's a parade.

A curious one, at that.
